HOUSES

The House system was introduced at CBS in 1916.

Its aim is to stimulate keen competition, instil a true sporting spirit, and establish loyalty and eiprit-de corpse those attributes of true citizenship.

In the names of the houses-CBS commemorates the services of four men to whom we believe most is due:

THOBURN (Red)

LAIDLAW (Green)

Bishop J. M. Thoburn
The Founder of CBS

Sir robert Laidlaw
A generous benefactor & well-wisher

WARNE (Yellow)

HENDERSON (Blue)

Bishop F. W. Warne
His guidance & advice as Chairman kept CBS alive in the early years

Rev. G. S. Henderson
Founder chairman & a valued member of the CBS managing committee

The house on duty should wear the house coloured uniform during their weekly duty

Every student is allotted a particular House to which he belongs and he is expected to participate in the House activities
